Browsing and saving
Your theme, wishlist, saved dishes, linked drink choices, quantities, taste preferences and search history are kept in this browser. My taste can include food notes, ingredient exclusions and allergies that you choose to enter. You can remove saved items, clear recent searches, or clear this site’s browser storage. Sharing creates an unlisted, read-only card with the selected menu items, descriptions, Lens explanations, restaurant details and, for an evening, chosen drink links and quantities. The card is stored on our server. Its link expires after 30 days, and expired cards are removed during cleanup; anyone with an active link can view it. Raw search text, account details, taste preferences, allergies and private notes are excluded. You can remove the link from the sharing dialog before closing it. Sharing then opens your device’s share sheet or copies the link; you choose where to send it.
Optional accounts
When email sign-in is enabled, Supabase processes your email and sign-in code. We keep an account session and store the discoveries, wishlist, evening and taste profile you choose to sync with your account. Signing out ends this browser’s session; it does not delete the account. You can remove saved items and searches, or clear My taste, while signed in. For account deletion or privacy questions, contact the Pairfection beta organizer through the channel that supplied your invitation.
Search and AI
The server receives your search, selected area and filters. When AI features are available, search text and relevant menu descriptions are sent to TypeSafe/Jev to rank results, and dish details may be sent to OpenAI for Lens explanations. Drink pairing requests include selected menu items and the drink preference you enter. Ingredient exclusions are checked by our server. Private food notes are not included in shared evenings or pairing prompts. These requests do not include your account email. Avoid entering private information in a dining search.
Google Places
Opening restaurant details can send that restaurant’s name and address to Google Places. Loading a photo contacts Google’s image servers, which receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address. We retain Google Place IDs to recognize restaurants, but do not add Google summaries, photos, ratings or hours to our menu database or saved plans. Google’s handling of information is explained in the Google Privacy Policy, incorporated here.
Feedback
The feedback form stores your message, its topic and the time it was sent privately on our server. Your email is optional. Search details, active filters and up to 24 displayed results are included only if you choose to attach them. An optional screenshot is resized and stored privately with the report; you can preview or remove it before sending. Feedback is not posted publicly or sent to the AI providers.
Operating the beta
Render hosts the app and may process routine connection and operational logs. The app uses request counters and short-lived request information to limit abuse and provider costs. It does not contain advertising trackers. Service providers process information under their own terms and policies.
